

札の辻
(Fudanotsuji)札の辻とは、街道など往来の多い場所に高札を立てた道や辻のこと。
ここは長浜城の大手門通りと、街を南北に貫通した北国街道が交わる交差点であったことから、ここが札の辻となりました。
道標には、「右 北国みち 左 京いせ道」・「右 たにくみ道」とあります。
Fudanotsuji is a road or crossroads where signs were erected in places where there was a lot of traffic in the past.
This was the intersection of Nagahama Castle’s Otemon-dori Street and the Hokkoku-kaido Road, which ran north-south through the city, so it became Fuda-no-tsuji.
The signposts say “Right Hokkoku Michi Left Kyoto Ise Michi” and “Right Tanikumi Michi”.
