柱のつくりもん
(pillar decoration)長浜曳山祭りで繰り出す曳山の起源は、長浜八幡宮の祭礼日に町衆たちがそれぞれにつくりもん(造作した物)を引き回し、にぎやかにお参りしたことにはじまると言われています。
派手好きな秀吉公を慕う町衆の心の表れです。
曳山の発端となった「つくりもん」の心を忘れないよう、大手門通りのアーケードの柱には、行き交う人々が楽しめる「つくりもん」を配しています。
It is said that the origin of the floats that are unleashed at the Nagahama Hikiyama Festival began when the townspeople brought their own tsukurimon (made things) around on the day of the festival at Nagahama Hachimangu Shrine and made a lively pilgrimage.
It is a manifestation of the hearts of the townspeople who adore Hideyoshi, who likes flashy things.
In order not to forget the spirit of “Tsukurimon”, which was the origin of Hikiyama, “Tsukurimon” is placed on the pillars of the Otemon-dori arcade for people to enjoy.
