大手門通り商店街を南北に横切る一級河川「米川」。そこにかかる橋が大手橋です。
この橋から眺める景色は、長浜の原風景の一つです。
大手橋から南を見ると、左手に旧家が見えます。ここは西田天香の生誕地で「下座体験」の場所であるとの石碑も建立され、川から建物へと船を入れられる船屋となっています。
この眺めは、第一回（令和3年）長浜城下町遺産で長浜の景観遺産に認定され、大手橋から北を望む景色は「曳山博物館南庭と米川」として第二回（令和4年）長浜城下町遺産で長浜の景観遺産に認定されました。

Otebashi is the bridge where the first-class river “Yonekawa” crosses the Otemon-dori shopping street from north to south.
The view from this bridge is one of the original landscapes of Nagahama.
Looking south from Otebashi, you can see an old private house on the left. This is the birthplace of Tenko Nishida.
This landscape was certified as a Nagahama Landscape Heritage of Nagahama Castle Town Heritage for the first time (2021), and for the second time (2024), the scenery on the north side of the Ote Bridge “Hikiyama Museum South Garden and Yonekawa” .
